Double-Handled Cup - Cream Soup

photo courtesy of Rachel Osman of Stover, MOThe double-handled cup, shown at left, was for sale on ebay in March of 2004. I contacted the seller, Rachel Osman of Stover, Missouri. She graciously allowed me to use the photo of the cup on the website. She said she bought the cup in 2003 from a man who lived in Carnegie, PA. The description she used on ebay is as follows: "4 1/8" across (not including the handles) by 2 1/4" tall Double Handled Cup in the Ornaments Pattern. (The same pattern was used by the MKT Railroad) Side marked: The William Foor Hotels. Bottom marked in green: Albert Pick & Company Chicago, M, China, L. NO Chips, Cracks or Crazing. A couple of very light use marks".

Another cup, exactly the same, sold on ebay in 2009. The seller's description was ANTIQUE ALBERT PICK & CO. WILLIAM FOOR HOTEL TWO HANDLED CREAM SOUP CUP, BEAUTIFUL CHINA FROM A FAMILY HOTEL IN WASHINGTON , PA., MEASURES 2 1/4" TALL, EXCELLENT CONDITION - NO CHIPS OR CRACKS.

The item sold for $9.99 on May 28, 3009. Images used by permission of seller, Rick McKita.
