Obituary:
Ray J. Boroff, age 82 died Friday, October 1, 2010 at Convoy Care Center, Convoy, Ohio. He was born January 24, 1928 in Paulding County Ohio the son of Ray H. and Ethel Mae (Littlejohn) Boroff. On March 10, 1946 he married Janet R. Hallard, who survives. He was employed by BJ Goodrich, retiring in 1991. He attended Friends United Methodist Church, Latty, OH. He is survived by his wife, Janet Boroff, Paulding; two daughters, Tonya (Larry) Schleisser, and Judy (Ray) Beck both of Paulding; two sisters, Lena Mae Keesbery and Kathleen Rodman, both of Paulding; and four grandchildren: Tammie, Bradley, Cari, and Kirby. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were conducted 11AM Tuesday, at Den Herder Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial was in Hedges Cemetery, Paulding County. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Convoy Care Center Resident Activity Fund.

I previously knew from bios that the Whitney family were friends of the
Carpenters's in NY, and Samuel and Polly (Rickey) Carpenter came to Lenawee Co
MI in 1828 and went straight to the Whitney's who had relocated there earlier.
The Whitney's helped build the Carpenter's new home.
