[12641] NAME/DOM/POM: Info submitted to LDS, unknown date, by James Leroy Fagan of Findlay, OH.

"Henry and Margaret Deeds, natives of Pennsylvania, removed to this township from Fairfield County, Ohio, in the fall of 1833, and settled in the northeast quarter of Section 12, entered by Mr. Deeds September 21, 1833. They reared a family of ten children, nine of whom survive and reside in this county. Mr. Deeds is yet living upon the old homestead where he and wife located over fifty-two years ago. His wife was blind several years before her death, which occurred January 26, 1886. Her bereaved husband, though bending under the weight of old age, is fond of speaking of those early days which they spent together in the rude log-cabin, living on the plainest fare, and surrounded by forest trees on every side." LOCATION: 1964 - listed as a surviving son, Lorain Foor of Napoleon, in mother's obituary.

NOTE: Marriage NOT DOCUMENTED. A "Lorain Clinten Foor" married Alberta Louise Brenner in FL. This info came from a subsription website and no further info available for non-subscribers. At ussearch.com, and myfamily.com, there was a Lorain Foor, 80 years in 2004, and an Alberta B. Foor 66. "Clinton" is Lorain's father's name, which makes me suspect that this is the correct individual.

OBIT: Tampa Tribune, Tampa, FL, April 5, 2005.

Lorain C. Foor

FOOR, Lorain C. "Larry," 81, of Tampa, passed away April 2, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Alberta "Bert"; two sons, Larry Foor and his wife, Janet, of Ohio, and David Foor and his wife, Sue, of Ohio; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Larry was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 111. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home followed by interment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
