FOOR George Franklin George F. Foor, age 85, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2009. He was born on March 29, 1923, in Custar, OH. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. George spent his career working as a Supervisor of Munitions for the 180th Air National Guard, retiring in the 1980's. He volunteered at the Springfield Township Fire Department #2. He also was an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary; sisters, Bernice Anthony and Rose Frye. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Lee (Susan), Joseph (Denise); daughter, Sandra Turpening; as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grand-children. There will be no visitation. Thomas W. Hoffman, age 69, a resident of Decatur, died on Friday, March 25, 2005 at Parkview Hospital.
He was born on March 22, 1936, in Adams County, to Otto and Verna (Owens) Hoffman. He was married on April 25, 1964 to Virginia K. Foor. She survives.
Visitation is from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur. Service is at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1 at the church. Officiating is Rev. Scott Bruick. Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery.

Margaret A. Foor, formerly of Everett, died at the Detroit Hospital, Detroit, Mich. on July 18, 1964. She was born in Ray's Cove, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Foor) Householder on January 23, 1882. She was married to the late Charles G. Foor. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Robert Faust of Everett and Vernon Foor of Detroit. A brother, William Householder of Altoona and two sisters, Mrs. Addie Haupt of Altoona and Mrs. Virgie Peck of California. She was a member of the Everett Grace Brethren Church. Funeral services were held July 22 at the Ray's Cove Christian Church. Rev. Homer Lingenfelter officiated. Interment was in the Ray's Cove Cemetery under the direction of the Stewart Funeral Home.

Hoy - Died of typhoid fever, near Napoleon, Ohio, Oct. 5 1875, Peter Hoy, (brother of Rev. S. Hoy) aged 34 years, 1 month and 1 day.
He was converted to God quite a number of years ago, and at the time of his death was a member of the Calvary Church. Beaver Creek circuit, Ohio conference. The deceased leaves a wife and six children, also a father, four brothers, one sister, and many friends to mourn his departure. They entertain a hope that he is now in heaven. Funeral services conducted by the writer.

call from John Ridgway at Seattle, Wash. When the Richard Ridgway family was
at the World's Fair in Seattle, John won a long distance phone call which he
could make to any one he wished. Of course his call was to a good friend at
Lithopolis. Mrs. Harold Short's sister, Miss Kim Souders, Homestead, FL,

Pam was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School and Millersville College. She was a foreign language teacher and was passionate about teaching. She is survived by her loving son, Graeme Massa and her companion of 17 years, Lewis Outlaw both of Elmira, NY; sister, Karen Pesillo and her husband Clayton of Lewisburg, PA; brother, Todd Shriver of Watsontown, PA; and her nephew, Weston Pesillo. Pamela was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, companion, teacher and friend. She enjoyed knitting and loved to crochet. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 12:00 (noon) to celebrate her life and honor her memory. Barbara J. Sayre
SAYRE Barbara J. Sayre, age 81, of Carroll, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born March 23, 1929 in Pleasantville to the late Joseph and Berniece (Penney) Stewart, she was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, and was an active member of David Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canal Winchester. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Herbert A. Sayre in 2008, and a brother Sunny. She is survived by her sons, Joe (Lyn) Sayre, John (Pam) Sayre and Jim (Donna) Sayre, all of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Troy (Jennifer) Sayre, Krista Sayre, Kelly (Jason) Mathes, Ryan Sayre, Johnean (Ryan) Goodwin and Jessica Sayre; step-grandchildren, Carrie (Leo) Haley, Tom (Mindy) Heater, Shawn (Katie) Velten and Shannon (Ed) Phillips; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Julia Barr, Lancaster and Janet (Hugh) Schaffner, Baltimore; good neighbors and friends, the O'Neil Family; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday at David Evangelical Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Rd., Canal Winchester, with Pastor Randy O'Donnell officiating.
