[7615] NAME/DOB/POB: from Sandra Gall, N. Lewisburg, Ohio, via email March 1999.

LOCATION: 1975 - Charles Richard Foor, Jr., listed as a Marysville High School Class of 1975 graduate. [Journal Tribune, Marysville, Ohio, June 4, 1975]

LOCATION: 1975 - traffic accident - Charles Foor, 18, 820 Delaware. [Journal Tribune, Marysville, Ohio, Nov. 4, 1975]

LOCATION: 2005 - listed as a surviving brother, Charles (Barbara) Foor of Milford Center in brother Paul's March obituary.

I'm confused by the obituary of Darla Dean Endsley who lists Chuck Foor of North Lewisburg, OH as a surviving brother. Chuck Foor of that area has many other siblings, and none of them are mentioned as a surviving sibling -- assuming that Chuck is a half-brother.

OSTRANDER - Darla Dean Endsley, age 62 of Ostrander died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware after a 9-year battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

She was born November 13, 1946 on Fort George E. Meade Base in Baltimore, MD to the late Elmer Hershel and Peggy Glendora (Brooks) King.

She was a Food Coordinator for the State of Ohio Scioto River View Complex for 20 years. She was a member of the Raymond Church of Christ and she enjoyed crocheting and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, John Thomas of Ostrander.

She is also survived by a daughter, Angela (Larry) Betts, Ostrander; a son, John Thomas III, Ostrander; four grandchildren, Brienna Thomas, Matthew Dean Hedrick, Benjamin Obenour, Dennis Davenport III; a brother, Chuck (Barb) Foor, North Lewisburg; and a special friend, Amy "Elmer" McClary, Gahanna.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The family is being assisted by the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be made to ALS Association, 1170 Old Henderson Road Suite 221, Columbus, OH 43220

This Chuck is much younger than the woman in the obituary, but Chuck's father was deceased in 1997 so it couldn't be his father.

NOTE: From Nathaniel Christopher via Sept. 2010 email: "I noticed you posted an obituary for my aunt Darla... On that page you mention that you're a little confused about Chuck Foor being her brother. Chuck was not Darla's biological brother but a very close family friend".

MANSFIELD -- In years past, as many as 10 couples have gotten married by Mayor Lydia Reid on Valentine's Day.

Friday, Clinton Foor and Linda Welker opted to use her services on the day before the day of love, Friday the 13th.

"We're getting married here in the mayor's office because ... we just wanted something quick and small," Welker, 48, said. "Besides, we're not doing it because it's Valentine's Day, we're doing it because it's Friday the 13th. Something has to come good of that day."

Welker, a group leader at Fuji Film, met Foor, 54, a tow motor operator at General Motors, about a year ago. They recently decided to ask Reid to marry them.

"We just called up and said we wanted to get married on the 13th and they said, 'Sure, that'll be fine'," Welker said.

Attending the ceremony was Welker's daughter, Laura Chance, 26.

"Well, this is a little different, a little crazy, but as long as they're happy I'm fine with it," she said.

Also attending was Welker's granddaughter, 7-year-old Cortney Chance.

2009 - listed as a surviving brother, Clinton (Linda) Foor of Mansfield in brother Frank's Sept. obit.
