Reformed church at Egypt...". His "Wife's name was Elizabeth Catharine, whose family name does not appear upon the records. They had 5 children, George, Joannes, Mary Margaret, married to John FUHR, Catharine married to John Bertsch, and Catharine Elizabeth married to John Folk."

Johannes Schad's will of Feb. 24, 1777, probated at Easton on May 20th 1777, lists Elizabeth Catherine, his wife, and Samuel Saeger as executors. His 450 acres whould be equally divided between his two sons, George and John Jr. George not then being at home, it "is provided that if he should not come again in a short time, then the upper place shall be rented to his son-in-law, John Bertsch, until George returns, but if certain information shall come that he is dead, then his son-in-law, John Bertsch, should have that part of his farm which is son George was to have". George was serving in the Revolutionary Army and returned home about 1784. He married Salome Miller. In 1811 he sold his farm and with wife and 8 children went west. OBIT: "Nonagenarian is called by death. Mrs. Cordelia Harris, 90, expires at home of son in Benton Ridge. Mrs. Cordelia Jane Spangler Harris, widow of A. B. Harris, Sr., died at 11:30 o'clock Wed. morning at the residence of her son, Charles W. Harris. She had been bedfast for 4 weeks. Mrs. Harris was b on Oct 7, 1843 in Fairfield Co OH and was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Enoch SPANGLER. Married 70 years ago to A. B. Harris and moved to this county 15 years later. 5 children survive: Mrs. Mack Baldwin, Findlay; Mrs. O. E. Helvie, Toledo; Martin Harris, North Baltimore; Charles Harris; Herbert Harris, Denver, CO. One child is dead. John Spangler of Malinta is brother. Member Benton Ridge Evangelical Church from where funeral services will be held 2:30 Friday. Rev. R. G. Pferrer. Burial Benton Ridge cemetery.
