PAULDING Darryl Duane Vance, 70, Paulding, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, in Carondelet St. Marys Hospital, Tucson, Ariz.
He was born April 20, 1935, in Paulding, the son of Cloyce and Elizabeth (Frucey) Vance. In 1953, he married Shirley Huebner, who died in 2002. He was a machinist for Dana Weatherhead, Antwerp, retiring in 1996, after 30 years. He was a member and elder of First Christian Church, Paulding, and a member of Bryan Moose Lodge 1064 and VFW Post 587 Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Marsha (Kenny) Adkins of Defiance and Kelly (Harry) Ricker, Paulding; three sons, Kevin (Holly), Dennis (Sandi) and Brian (Gina) of Paulding; two sisters, Donna (Myron) Thornell of Convoy and Dolores White, Bowling Green; a special friend, Mooneen Ringenberg, Tucson; and 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Wendell; a sister, Valera Riley; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church, Paulding, with Rev. Paul Biery officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Thursday in Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church.
