From Dennis Carpenter via Jan 2005 email:
Hi Shelly,
I have been checking those possible Lowe relatives and found alot of
info on Rebecca. Spell the name SECHLER. Rebecca Lowe escaped from
Wyoming Valley, and married Michael Sechler, Rev. War Vet., body guard
of George Washington. Check out Lycoming county PAGenWeb, and SECHLER
forum at rootsweb (or Ancestry.com) there are bible records there. I
believe Elias S. Lowe who also lived in Lycoming county, PA, may have
been the son of William and Hannah (Smith) Lowe, he was partner with
DuBois brothers of Tioga county, NY.
Still searching,
Dennis Carpenter
