There is a Jacob and Elizabeth (Nagle) Brininger/Breininger who settled in the same county as John and at about the same time but there is NO KNOWN
RELATIONSHIP between Jacob and John. In the past many researchers believed
that perhaps they were father and son, but I have corresponded with people who are researching the Jacob and Elizabeth lineage and they find NO relationship between their lineage and this one. I do not believe they were father and son, but feel there is probably SOME kind of relationship -- possibly even brothers, though cousins is more likely.
