Listed in Paulding Co are two children with no father mentioned. Mother is
Harriet C. Swick. First one is a male b 18 Oct 1868 (V1, p 28 # 136) and Allen b 20 Feb 1874. From a copy of a letter written to Marj ___ by Frances Clum 1987, "I looked at the actual census of 1880 and Harriet was listed 39, Edgar 17, working in stone quarry, and my Grandfather Clayton, 8. Edgar was always known as "Jake". We know Edgar's history and 17 is correct. These children were living in Harriett's household. Minnie 13 was living with W. C. Reeder's.

W. C. was the son of Rebecca Swick and Joseph REEDER. There must have been
another Edgar Swick. .... Later in life Harriett married a Jim BAILEY. Her
children I have [been] told belonged to a ___ LEWIS. Could it be such a weird thing her father was the father of her children??" (Obviously there is some oddities here, no one quite knowing who the father of Harriet's children were, but they kept the name SWICK).
