Evelyn Brenner, age 100, of Canal Winchester, died Saturday April 5, 2003 at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center, Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Eva, brothers Ivan and Noel, and sister Edith.
She was a life long member of David's United Church of Christ, a graduate of Canal Winchester High School, and was the former owner of Groveport Hardware.
Evelyn is survived by her sister-in-law Lucille Brenner; nephew Richard (Patty) Brenner; niece Marilyn (Joe) LoSchiavo, all of Canal Winchester; great nephews Andy LoSchiavo, of Washington, D.C., Jason Brenner, and Justin Brenner, both of Canal Winchester.
Friends may visit 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 West Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, where a funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastors David and Beth Long-Higgins officiating. Interment Betzer Cemetery, Carroll, Ohio.

Jerome D. Foor, 80, of Beech Creek died Tuesday, Jan 4, 2000, at Lock Haven Hospital.
He was born July 30, 1919, at Kearney, Bedford County, a son of the late Jerome D. and Annie (Metz) Foor.
He was married to Edna M. Ritchey on May 18, 1940, in Stephen City, Va. She survives, along with two daughters, Bonnie F. Day and husband Jack of Westminster, Md., and Joyce A. Shelestak and husband Ron of Ashtabula, Ohio; three grandsons and one granddaughter, and three great-grandchildren.
He is survived by two sisters, Vida Morgret of Rainsburg and Erma Cicon of Wyoming, Pa., and a brother, Ronald I. Foor of Breezewood.
Mr. Foor was a heavy equipment operator for Parson Brothers of Orbisonia for many years and from 1966 to 1980, he was the Beech Creek water supervisor. He was a member of the Beech Creek United Methodist Church.
He built banjos and furniture. and enjoyed bluegrass music, woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Funeral services: Noon Friday at the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard, with the Rev. Richard W. Schilling officiating. Burial in Everett Cemetery.

OBIT: FOOR, Ida G., of Oscoda, formerly of Alger, MI, age 95 years, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Tawas, MI. She was born November 25, 1913 in Secord Township, MI to Uriah and Bertha (nee Patterson) Gooden. Ida was a Practical Nurse at Wurt-smith Air Force Base in Oscoda, MI for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved to be outdoors. Ida married her husband the late Francis O. Foor on May 20, 1931. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Uriah and Bertha Gooden, and her sisters, Ella and Grace.
Ida is survived by her children: Doyl (Barb) Foor of Manistique, MI, Robert (Geraldine) Foor of Alpena, MI, Jerry M. (Nancy) Foor of Gladwin, MI, Gail J. (Jesse) Garza of Wheatfield, IN, Nancy M. (Al) Rojewski of Bay City, MI and Kenneth M. (Lila) of Bay City, MI. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

 HARRIS Robert E. Harris, 82, of Mansfield, died Sunday morning, October 8, 2006 in Winchester Terrace Nursing Home following a short illness. He was born July 15, 1924 in West Frankfort, Illinois to William L. and Grace Winifred (Jones) Harris, and moved to Mansfield in 1929. Mr. Harris was graduated from Ontario High School in 1942 and Miami University in 1948. A veteran of WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946, and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant. Following 29 years of service, Mr. Harris retired from North American Rockwell in 1983, and later from Battelle in Columbus in 1988. Mr. Harris returned to Mansfield in June of 1997 from his home in Canal Winchester, and placed his membership with the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, after belonging to the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church 40 years. He was a member of the Emmaus Community and Mansfield Men's Garden Club, and enjoyed traveling, reading, and gardening. Surviving are his wife, Betty Walker Keefer Harris, whom he married June 7, 1997; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Eileen Harris of Portland, ME; two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy and David Smith and Paula Prose, all of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Wendy and James Fitzanko of Dixon, IL, Alex Prose of Canal Winchester, Jared Harris and Samuel Harris, both of Portland, ME, Katy and Aaron Farley of Canal Winchester and Mark and Megan Smith of Oxford; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Sharon Harris of Lucas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth and Eldon Griffeth of Shelby and Shirley Rinehart of Galion; two step-sons and their wives, William and Beth Keefer of Mansfield and Dr. Michael and Anne Keefer of Rochester, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. His first wife Grace Jean Crawford Harris preceded him in death on December 16, 1995. Also deceased are a son-in-law Jeffrey Prose and a brother-in-law Jay Rinehart. Katharine, which is often an indication that they are not married but perhaps

He and his wife came immediately to Hancock County and settled on the farm in Marion Township.....His first wife died in 1848 leaving three children: Levi; Mary Ann, who is now deceased, who was the wife of Burtis Yocum; and Henry who lives in Indiana. Jacob Searfoss then married Jane Powell, who is also deceased and they had one daughter, Margaret Jane, who is the wife of S. Rinkhammer of Marion Township."
