MORSE JoAnn W. "Jody" Morse, age 74, of Carroll, is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior as of Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Born March 18, 1934, in Bexley, the youngest of 10 children, she was the loving foster daughter of Gerald and Elizabeth Baron. Jody was a graduate of Bexley High School and attended Ohio State University. After her marriage to William M. Morse on December 27, 1953, she enjoyed serving in the community through the Junior Symphony League of Central Ohio, and the Junior League. At the age of 28, Jody trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She believed Ephesians 2: 8-9, which says "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." She served her Lord by teaching Sunday School at Greencastle Bible Church, where she was a member for nearly 40 years, singing in the choir, hosting missionaries and visiting preachers, helping the needy, and sharing her faith with many. Survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Karen Morse (John Mark) Wagner, Diane Morse (Richard Clinton) Sheridan; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Benjamin, Amelia (Matthew) Gibson, Esther JoAnn and Hans William; brother, John Worden; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Greencastle Bible Church, 2940 Amanda-Northern Road NW. with Pastors Charles Flesher and Robert Mazzie officiating. Interment will follow at nearby Betzer Cemetery. Jody will be deeply missed by her church, her loving family, and her constant friends. The family would like to thank Greencastle Bible Church for their prayers, meals and concern; also the outstanding guidance, support and gentle care provided by FairHoPe Hospice of Fairfield County. We are also grateful to Valley View Nursing Home for the tender care they gave to Jody during her last days. Friends who wish may contribute to FairHope Hospice or Greencastle Bible Church in Jody's memory. Online condolences at www.spencefuneralhome.com. Cannot find a Sarah Foor in Gridley cemetery where husband and some children are buried. There is, however, a Sadie E. Foor 1895-1943. Sadie Foor is listed at the Illinois State Archives online death index as having died 03 Dec 1943 in Bloomington, McLean Co., IL. No age at death shown. NOTE: since I wrote the above, I found them in the 1930 census and her name is shown as "Sadie".

Mr. Shultz was married, February 10, 1892, to Miss Alice Glick. She was a daughter of Manassah and Eliza (Hartman) Glick, both natives of Pennsylvania, where the father was engaged in farming. Manassah Glick was a second cousin of former Governor Glick, of Kansas. The Glick family removed from Pennsylvania to Ohio and made their home in Fairfield county, where Mr. Shultz met and married his wife. To Mr. and Mrs. Shultz have been born six children: Bernice, student in the University of Kansas and a member of the class of 1914; Eliza (deceased); Madeline, a student at Canal Winchester, Ohio; Ernestine and Glick, attending school in Barnes, and Alice, the baby. The wife and mother departed this life, after a brief illness, December 7, 1913. Mrs. Shulz was a woman of noble Christian character whose untimely death brought grief to her many friends and neighbors as well as to her immediate family. The family are members of the Lutheran church.
Mr. Shultz served as trustee of Barnes township from 1902 to 1906 and is now serving his twelfth year as a member of the Barnes school board. Politically he is a Democrat.

The info on these sisters, at least from census records, is almost humorous.
In 1850 they were 45, yet by 1860 they were 11 years younger and only 44. In
1870 sister Sarah is not found, but "Wright Wright" is the first entry, shown
as male, but same age as Jane. "Wright Wright" is probably Sarah. They were
50 in 1870, but in 1880 they aged considerably and listed as 73. Sarah died
soon after the 1880 census was recorded. Jane lived until 1897. The data
for Lithopolis cemetery shows Sarah died July 6, 1880 at age 69. She is one
of the tombstones that was recorded by Charles Wagner in 1942, though at that
time Jane's was not. Being the sister who outlived the other, Jane may not
have had a tombstone erected. The data from the cemetery records shows Jane
died Aug. 29, 1897 at 90y. Perhaps the age was a guess.
