LOCATION: 2005 - listed as the surviving widow, Rose Ann Foor of San Carlos, California, the wife of step-son Clayton Foor, in Clayton's step-mother's October 2005 obituary.

OBIT: [San Carlos Patch, San Carlos, CA]

Rose Ann McAnulty Foor, age 89
The WWII nurse raised five children. She moved to San Carlos in 2003 to be closer to them and is remembered for her love and kindness.

Rose Ann McAnulty Foor died July 13, 2012 in San Carlos at the age of 89.

She was kind and caring, the nicest person you will ever meet.

She was born in Philadelphia in 1922, one of 12 children of Michael McAnulty and Rose Marie Lally McAnulty. She joined the Army as a Registered Nurse in 1943. She married Clayton M. Foor, a first lieutenant, in 1945. They were married for 53 years.

After her husband graduated from law school she became a homemaker, raising five sons. After retirement and until he passed away in 1998, they divided their time between Plymouth, Michigan and Tucson, Arizona. She moved to San Carlos, California in 2003 to be near her children.

LOCATION: 1926 - listed as a surviving daughter, "Mrs. Sol Lehman of Winchester" in mother's August 1927 obituary.

I'm assuming the following text is in error when it mentions his second wife's name. Osborne is her maiden name, not the first name of her first husband, or perhaps they were referring to her prior name as Mrs. Mary Osborne Alspaugh". Whichever the case, it's a bit deceiving: "Mr. [Solomon S.] Lehman has been married twice. His first wife, who bore the maiden name of Sarah M. Hott, was born in 1851 and departed this life in 1899. For his second wife Mr. Lehman wedded Mrs. Osborne Alspaugh, who was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, in 1856. By her first marriage she had two children, Chauncey D. Alspaugh and Mrs. Lyda G. Lehman." Taylor, William Alexander. History of Columbus and Franklin County, Ohio, Vol. 1, Chicago: S.J. Clarke Publishing Co., 1909, p 322.

OBIT: Mrs. Mary Lehman, 77, Canal Winchester, died Dec. 19, at home of daughter, Mrs. S. D. Lehman. She leaves 1 son, C. D. Alspach of Carroll; 2 brothers, B. W. and J. L. Osborne of Columbus; 1 sister, Mrs. E. H. Harrison of Delaware. Body was removed to J. E. Grimes funeral home, Canal Winchester, where funeral will be held Friday, 2 p.m. Burial Union Grove Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
