The charge was filed by his former wife, who was awarded custody of three minor children. The former wife resides in Waynesfield. Foor probably will be arraigned at the same time that Frank Hartridge, who was brought here from Portland, Ore., on a robbery charge in connection with the $20000 'horse-deal poker' robbery of Albert Gerstner, Union twp. farmer, will face Judge Copeland. [Lima News, Lima, Ohio, June 6, 1940]

1940 - Man Sentenced to Penitentiary - Former Waynesfield Resident Admits Charge of Non-Support. Expressing a desire to be reunited with his former wife and three minor children but admitting failure to provide for them during the past 8 years, Ralph Foor, 42, pleaded guilty to a non-support charge and was sentenced to a term of one to three years in the Ohio penitentiary when arraigned late Thursday before Judge W. T. Copland in Auglaize co., common pleas court. Foor, a former resident of St. Marys and Waynesfield, was apprehended a week ago by Jamesvile, NY police on a transient charge under an assumed name. He was identified thru fingerprint records on file with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and held for local authorities. He was secretely indicted by a grand jury here a year ago. Records in the office of Sheriff William Nieter show that Foor was indicted here on a similar charge in 1932 and that he was sentenced to a one to three yar term at that time, but was paroled after serving several months. He was returned for parole violation in 1934 and completed the remainder of his sentence. Local court attaches said that a new ruling of the state parole board will make it mandatory for him to serve the maximum sentence pronounced Thursday. [Lima News, Lima, Ohio, June 7, 1940, p 2.]

Mary HAIMBAUGH, daughter of David and Margaret HAIMBAUGH, was born in Fairfield County, Ohio, Sept. 23, 1846, and departed this life at Fulton, Indiana, May 16th, 1924, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 23 days. At the age of seventeen she moved with her parents to Fulton county, Indiana, where she has since resided.
August 20, 1865, she was united in marriage to John A. FENSTERMAKER. To this union were born six children, four sons and two daughters. She was preceded in death by the husband, one son, Fred [FENSTERMAKER], and one daughter, Laura [FENSTERMAKER]. She leaves to mourn their loss, one daughter, Mrs. Orlando HORN of Talma, three sons, Zane W. [FENSTERMAKER] of Argos, Benton [FENSTERMAKER] of Fulton, and Ivan [FENSTERMAKER] of Niles, Michigan; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine McCARTER, of Rochester, and Mrs. Arthur LYNCH, of Chicago; besides a host of other relatives and friends. At an early age she united with the Lutheran Church in Ohio, but at the time of her death, was a member of the U.B. church at Fulton, of which church she was faithful and attended as long as she was able. Always a devoted mother and a kind and helpful neighbor in time of need, she will be greatly missed. Although afflicted for some time, she kept a patient and cheerful disposition until the last. [May 19, 1924, Monday, "Rochester Sentinel", Rochester, Indiana; extracts published by Jean C. and Wendell C. Tombaugh, 1997.

Saturday, May 17, 1924

Mrs. Mary FENSTERMAKER, aged 77, died at eight o'clock Friday evening at her home in Fulton of a complication of diseases and old age. She had been ill for six months. Surviving are three sons and one daughter. The husband, John FENSTERMAKER, died 10 years ago.
