INDEX

[24261] A two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, resulted in injuries to several people and also caused fuel to be spilled into a nearby ditch.

According to an Oregon State Police report, a 2002 Chevrolet pickup was headed east on Three Rocks Road north of Lincoln City, driven by Fred J. Gardner, 65, of Williston, N.D. Gardner crossed Highway 101 in front of a southbound 1999 Chevrolet Astro van, driven by Ann Mortens Foor, 53, of Neskowin.

The left front of the van struck the left rear of the pickup. The pickup spun around and came to rest in the ditch facing southwest. The vehicle's fuel tank was punctured in the crash, and about 24 gallons of gasoline leaked into the ditch. [News Times, Newport, OR, Sept. 10, 2004]

MAIDEN NAME NOT CONFIRMED. There are two children born in Los Angeles Co. in the 1970s who's father's surname was FOOR and mother's was MORTENSE. This "Mortens" may be the same individual. I'm merging the two but the data is NOT confirmed. The deciding factor was that there appears to be a Pamela L. Foor (one of the children born in Los Angeles) who is 29 in 2004 and listed as being in Newport, Oregon at ussearch.com.

This may be the "Ann Mortens Foor", aged 53 "Of Neskowin" Oregon, listed in the Newport News Sept. 10, 2004, as having been in a car accident.

DOM/POM: Names listed as James Albert Foor and Ann Mortensen, married 12/16/1973, Cert. A496421; Clark Co., NV marriages, online.

LOCATION: 1968 graduate of Rio Linda High School, Rio Linda, CA., at classmates.com.

2007 - listed as a surviving daughter, Ann Foor, in mother's Sept. obit. Mother was Veniece Mortensen, born Nov. 15, 1916, and was entered into rest in Orangevale, CA Sept. 11, 2007. Funeral service Sept. 15, private burial the 17th at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park, Sacto, CA. [Sacramento Bee, 9/14/2007]
