According to the following biography, Joshua was born before 1813.
" FELLERS, JOSHUA, farmer, Bloom township, was born in Pennsyl-
vania, and came with his father, John Fellers, to Ohio in 1813, settling
on the farm where he now lives. He has been, the same as his father,
an official member of long standing and a warm supporter of the
Betzer Church, which he helped to establish. There were but three
children of this family. His brother, Frederick Fellers, was never married,
but made his home with him until he died some years since. His sister
married Mr. Conrad Crumley, the late well-known citizen of the county.
Mr. Fellers married Barbara Runkles, daughter of John Runkles,
one of the early settlers of the county. They raised a large family,
all of whom have grown up and become useful citizens of the county
and State." HISTORY OF FAIRFIELD AND PERRY COUNTIES, OHIO, THEIR PAST AND PRESENT COMPILED BY A. A. GRAHAM, W. H. BEERS & CO. 1883, p 302.

Wilson, whom he married in 1936.
The married couple settled in Ludington, Ralph working for Brody Brothers. He served two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. PARENTAGE: HISTORY OF OHIO pp 67-68 shows this: "In the year 1858 was solemnized the marriage of Mr. Dill and Miss Marian Harris, daughter of Philemon and Jane (Needles) Harris and a granddaughter of George Needles, who came from his native state of Delaware to Ohio in 1803, and became one of the first settlers---in fact the first taxpayer-in Fairfield County, where he reclaimed from the forest wilds a productive farm in Bloom Township, the first Methodist Episcopal Church in that county having been organized in his home. Mr. Dill has been an active member of. the Methodist Episcopal Church for sixtyfive years, and his wife for an even longer period They are now among the most venerable and revered members of the South Methodist Episcopal Church in their home City of Columbus, and in the gracious evening of their lives they may well feel that "their lines are cast in pleasant places. Mr. and Mrs. Dill have three children: Willard, Philemon C. and Nellie."

OBIT: Mrs. Thomas Dill who recently died at the home of her daughter in Westervill was for many years a resident of Lithopolis. Hers was the fourth death in the family in three years, her husband, who was formerly state representative from Fairfield county, having preceded her in death on July 8th. "John Reber, whose handsome brick residence built after modern architectural design attracts the eye of every visitor to Prairie Twp., Shelby County, was born in Fairfield Co., Ohio, Jan. 2, 1838. His parents, T. V. and Rachel (Allen) Reber were natives of the same county, the father being born in 1807 and now living in Wyandot County that state, and the mother, who was born in 1809, having died in the county just named in October, 1890. Of the family ot T. V. and Rachel Reber, there were eight children, and our subject was the second in age. Light thousands of young men from Ohio he came to Illinois, arriving here October 5, 1867 and locating on the farm where he now resides. He has since that time effieciently carred on the business of farming and stock-raising. This State was visited by his father about the year 1850, and he then entered the land from the Government, which afterward came to this son by inheritence. Mr. Reber has a splendid farm of 480 acres, and upon this he has recently erected a new home, a view of which appears on another page. March 23, 1891, was the happy wedding day of John Reber and Mrs. Clara Thompson. Mrs. Reber is a native of Shelby Co., and a daughter of the Rev. Mr. Stamper, of Herrick, this county. She was first married to William Thompson, of Shelby Co., who died in 1890. [Ancestry.com. Shelby and Moultrie Counties, Illinois Biographical Dictionary [database on-line]. LOCATION: 1962 - listed as surviving son Gale of Lithopolis in mother's February obit.

According to an article in The Canal Winchester TIMES, July 4, 1984, Gale Whaley walked 6 days each week from his Walnut Street home to his small barber shop in Lithopolis to work for 57 years. His failing eyesight keeps him from some traveling. Whaley began working as a barber in 1928. Haircuts then cost 25 cents, and shaves 15 cents. Sometimes he worked from early morning until after midnight, bringing a weekly income home of $20-$25. "That was good money in those days", he recalled. His wife Dorothy supplimented the income with her job as a teacher at a local elementary school, which enabled them to build their Walnut Street home in 1934. Whaley was born and raised in Lithopolis, his parents divorcing in 1909 when he was 3. He then went to live with grandparents. He quit school as a Junior and went to work for a time, including a few area farms. He was invited to work in a barber shop owned by a friend who had a shop in Circleville. He rec'd a $1 each day to come down and wash the customers faces and put the toilet water on them in 1928. He did this for 3 months before beginning work as a barber in Lithopolis. He bought the shop in 1929 and within three weeks made some changes. "When I first bought the shop it had 5 spittoons", Whaley remembered. "After the first couple of weeks I said 'the devil with those, I'm not going to clean them out'" He bought a new shop two years later. "I remember the farmer who had 8 girls and a boy... They'd come in one evening and I'd have a night's work, just bobbing those girls' hair.". Customers upon entering his shop took a numbered metal tab from a wire near the door so no one would argue. Whaley joined the army in April 1942, and was discharged in 1945.

"WOODS, JOHN E. - The son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Fife) Woods, was born in the bounds of Bethel Congregation, eight miles south of Pittsburg, PA, May 29, 1831. He was a child of the covenant, his parents being eminently pious and his grandfather, Rev. William Woods, was a minister of the gospel, and pastor of Bethel Church for many years. Rev. Dr. George Marshall of Upper St. Clair, PA., writes as follows: "I knew my young friend Woods from childhood. He commenced his studies with me in Bethel Academy, remained nearly three years; then to Jefferson College, PA., graduating in 1852. He was always a very amiable and pleasant young many, diligent as a student, and was bidding fair to become a popular preacher. He was licensed in my church (Bethel) by Ohio Presbytery, in April 1856. On my recommendation, he went to Bentonsport, Iowa, and took charge of that church, where he was ordained and installed by Fairfield Bresbytery as pastor in 1857. Ill health and inadequate support induced him to resign that charge in 1858. On leaving Iowa, he settled in Lithopolis, Ohio, and in July 1859, he was installed by Columbus Presbytery as pastor of the church in that place".

In his ministerial labors at Lithopolis he was, in a high degree, able and faithful, and also very successful... During his ministry there were added to the church fifty-one members, and an addtional house of worship built at Greencastle. In the summer of 1862 he visited his father's house, near Pittsburg, and preached his last sermon where he had preached his first, in the Bethel church. During the visit he was taken sick, and soon after returning to his home at Lithopolis, he died of typoid dysentery, August 25, 1862. He married in the summer of 1857 Miss Caroline King, of Hunterstown, PA., who, with two children, survives him.
