Mary wrote a note for her brother-in-law, Jesse, for pension reasons: Be it
remembered that on this 15th day of October 1913 before me a notary public in
and for said Franklin county, Ohio, personally came Mary E. FOOR who being duly sworn says: that she is the wife of Joseph H. FOOR of Franklin Co, OH - she further says: That after diligent search and [?] she is unable to find or
locate the family record of the FOOR family, but that some time about the year 1874 or 1875 she herself did take and correctly copy from the record of
said family the date of birth of each of said family and more has in her own
possession said copy so taken. And that the same is a true and correct copy of said record as the same was so copied and taken from said family record book of the FOOR family. She further says that acccording to the best of her
recollection it was not a Bible but a small record book, and that the same
cannot be found. In that book or record it was recorded and my copy shows that Jesse Ward Foor was born on the 7th day of June, 1843 and that she believes that to be the correct date of his birth. She futher says that she believes all the statements to be true and that she has no interest whatsoever in this [cousin?] and that her post office address is Blacklick, Ohio, RFD #2.
