"[Son] Mason Foor (Mike) died from an aortic aneurism in April 1997. There was no indication of any medical problem other than Mike had complained of shortness of breath one week prior. A visit to the doctor yielded nothing. Within 6-months Steven was diagnosed with an aortic aneurism. Emergency surgery was performed and the aneurism, at the aortic arch was repaired and the aortic valve was replaced with a St. Judes mechanical valve. Steven remains in excellent health and has few life effecting limitations from the surgery. This was obviously a genetic defect that other family memebers need to be aware of; although it is thought to have came from Steven's maternal family. Steven's mother (age 79), died of an aneurism. Her sister (age 78 or 79) and brother (age 90) died, late in life, of suspected aneurisms. Kristopher, Steven's youngest son is screened regularly and shows no
health problems."

1976 - TwoElwood residents suffered minor injuries Friday evening following
an auto-combine collision on County Road 900N approximately 1,000 feet west
of County Road 575W, Madison County police reported. Paul R. Foor, 17, and
Martha Winnert, 18, both of 1009 S. A. St., Elwood, were injured when the
auto in which they were riding slammed into the rear of a combine driven by
Dallas M. Bailey, 34, Rt. 1, Frankton. Foor was treated and released from
Mercy Hospital in Elwood for a cut lip. Winnert was admitted, however, with
slight head injuries. According to reports, the Foor vehicle was attempting
to pass the combine when Foor became blinded by a bright spotlight on the
rear of the tractor before striking the combine. Investigators said the
combine was not equipped with an amber caution light and the slow-moving
vehicle sign was mounted behind the spotlight. [Anderson Herald, Anderson,
