[3635] OBIT: 1949 - Infant Killed by Kidney Pills in Broad Top. A 17-months-old Six Mile Run R. D. child was pronounced dead Monday night at 9 o'clock at J. C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon, from acute poisoning resulting from an overdose of 'kidney' pills. The child, Donald Clair Foor, son of Edward W. and Edna (Williams) Foor, was the youngest of eight Foor children, all at home. The pills were prescribed by a physician for an older member of the family. The youngster found them and ate several before becoming violently ill and rushed to the hospital. Huntingdon's COroner, E. Blair Shore and DIstrict Attorney, R. Merle Heffner made the investigation. The child was born May 9, 1948, and is survived by the parents and the following brothers and sisters: Charles, Sylvia, Mary Catherine< James, Sandra, Nancy Carol and Patricia. Funeral services for Robert A. Morris Jr., 75, a resident of Aprontree Personal Care Home, Spring Run, formerly of Shippensburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run.
He died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at the home.
Born Dec. 15, 1926, in Kistler, he was a son of the late Robert and Kathryne (Boyer) Morris.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Morris had attended the former Fannettsburg High School and Mount Union High School. He later earned his GED and went on to earn an associate of arts degree from Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, N.J., in 1978.
He was a system analyst for 30 years for the Department of the Navy in Mechanicsburg until his retirement in 1987. He had previously worked for 10 years with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
Mr. Morris also owned and operated a farm in Amberson Valley.
He was a member of Upper Path Valley United Presbyterian Church, Spring Run; Orrstown Masonic Lodge 262; National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1063, Chambersburg; and Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, also in Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maxine F. Foore Morris; two sons, Max A. of Walkersville, Md., and James R. of Saegertown; one daughter, Jeannette Cisney Lauck of State College; three sisters, Gloria Hockenberry of Huntingdon, Virginia Gearhart of Casa Grande, Ariz., and LaWanda Youngblood of Chambersburg; two stepsisters, Marie Hardy of Richmond Furnace and Sara Jane College of New Franklin; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Priscilla Morris; and one brother, Raymond Morris.
The Rev. Douglas Kelly will officiate at Monday's service. Burial will be in Amberson Union Cemetery, Amberson.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be conducted by members of Orrstown Lodge 262 at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Summit Home Health Hospice, 176 S. Coldbrook Avenue, Unit 3, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Mrs. Flora M. (NYE) ARTER MUSSELMAN, 85, a lifetime resident of Akron, died at her home at 10:50 a.m. of a coronary attack. She had been ill several months.
Born in Fulton county Feb. 15, 1877, she was the daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth SAMPLE NYE. Her first marriage was in 1894 to William ARTER, who died in 1951. In 1958, she married Sam MUSSELMAN, who died in 1960.
Mrs. Musselman was a member of the United Brethren church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dewey (Gladys) MERLEY, Akron, and Mrs. George (Vera) BLACK, Claypool; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Daisy MOONSHOWER and Mrs. Meda SCHMIDT, both of Chicago; Mrs. Cora PAYNE, Rochester, and Mrs.Esta (Bertha) MOONSHOWER, Athens. Two brothers preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Sheetz funeral home at Akron with the Rev. Harold CONRAD officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
