CARROLL: Don Samuel Dennis, age 74, of Carroll, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012. He was born September 5, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Thurlston and Malinda (Williams) Dennis.
Don proudly served his country in the Air National Guard. He was a past president of the Lancaster Fly Wheels Hot Rod Club and an avid antique collector. In high school, Don played baseball and basketball and was the secretary of F.F.A.
Don is survived by loving wife, of 54 years, Sue; son, Bruce S. (Susan) Dennis; grandchildren, Eric S. Dennis, Heather R. (Larry) Spangler, and Kameron R. Ryan; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester where funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Carol Ramfeth officiating. Interment Betzer Cemetery.

LOCATION: 1926 - Myrtle Belle Chappius filed petition for divorce against Rufus Chappius in Common Pleas Court this afternoon, charging extreme cruelty. The plaintiff aleges that the defendant has struck and choked her many times that she cannot remember the dates thereof or the number, that he awakens at night and starts cursing her, that he is stingy that he gives her but 50 cents a meal with which to feed the family, and that he insist on going with her when she buys her clothing. The petition names four children Maurice, aged 23, Mildred, aged 21, Lucille, aged 15, and Margaret, aged 12. Samuel A. WENGER, 78, 109 Jefferson street, died early today at the Logansport hospital after having been in failing health several years.
A resident of Rochester most of his life, Mr. Wenger was born June 4, 1869, here and was the son of William Henry and Catharine WISER WENGER. He was married three times, first to Sarah MERILL and then to Lucinda BRICKEL. A third marriage was entered into with Ethel WOODCOX March 7, 1941. A laborer, he was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors besides the wife, are a son, Harry [WENGER], Rochester; a step-daughter, Mrs. Fay RUSSELL, Rochester; two step-sons, Omer BRICKEL, Anderson, and Harry BRICKEL, Anderson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zimmerman funeral home with the Rev. L. E. POWELL officiating. Burial wll be in the IOOF cemetery. The body will remain at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home where friends may call after Tuesday noon.

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Ida J. Carbaugh Stevens, 81, of 6095 Honeywood Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born April 6, 1925, in Six Mile Run, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Ray and Dora Foor Weyandt.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emerson Carbaugh. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Chambersburg First Church of God and its Senior Life Group.
She is survived by her husband, Orrin J. Stevens, whom she married June 21, 2003; three children, Janice Zook of St. Thomas, Allan Carbaugh of Huntsville, Ala., and Todd Carbaugh of York, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Folk, and three brothers, Willis, Paul, and Chester Weyandt.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg First Church of God. The Rev. Earl Mills will officiate. Burial will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run.
