OBIT: Glenn H. Foor Victim; Wife Hurt in Crash. An Everett Rt. 2 man, on his way to Florida for an extended vacation, died Friday night in an Avon Park, Fla., hospital after his car had been involved in a head-on collision near Sebring. The victim of the crash was Glenn Howard Foor, 61. His wife, severely injured in the crash, was listed Sunday night by attaches at Walker Memorial Hospital in Avon Park as in "fairly good condition". Earlier, she had been listed as critical and was not expected to live. The tragedy occurred only days after the Foors had sold their chicken farm near Manns Choice. They were headed for Sebring at the time of the accident. Local relatives learned that the couple were only 18 miles from their destination when Mr. Foor, driving a new station wagon, collided head-on with a Miami car driven by a salesman. Both Mr. and Mrs. Foor were taken to the Avon Park hospital. The accident occured Wednesday. The Foors were planning to visit realtives in Sebring for the winter and were considering locating permanently in Florida. Mrs. Foor remained unconscious for several days after the crash, suffering from shock, a broken jaw and foot. Her husband died of injuries which included fractures of both legs and the jaw and numerous cuts and bruises of the body. Two children, Mrs. Goldie Klein of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Rita Roguemore of China Lake, Calif., arrived in Everett over the weekend after a plane flight from the west coast. By coincidence, Mrs. Klein has just completed a 3000-mile drive by automobile much of it over narrow dirt Alaskan roads, to visit her sister in California when news of the accident was received. A stepson, Floyd Holyrod of Pittsburg, a son of Mrs. Foor by a previous marriage, flew at once to Florida to be by his mother's bedside. Mr. Foor was born August 4, 1894, in Snake Spring twp., a son of Robert H. and Katie Ritchey Foor, both now deceased. He was married twice. His first wife, the former Ethel Colledge, died August 5, 1941. The present Mrs. Foor was the former Helen Maund. Surviving in addition to his two daughters and step-son, are two brothers and a sister, William L. Foor and George A. Foor, both of Everett Rt. 2, and a sister, Mrs. Sara Hoffman. There are also five grandchildren. Mr. Foor was a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending arrival of the remain at the Conner Funeral Home in Everett. Funeral services Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Everett Church of the Brethren, Rev. Isaac Wareham officiating with interment in Rays Hill Lutheran cemetery, Breezewood, under direction of Connor Funeral home. Mr. Foor's body will be take to the Conner Funeral Home on arrival from Florida. [Bedford Gazette, Bedford, PA, Nov. 14, 1955]

[NOTE in 1900 the "26" years of marriage seems to not be feasible. If so, they'd appear married in 1880 census. In 1910, they say they were married 25 years. Should the '26' in 1900 be 16? The number '2' the first time written appears to be very heavy, as if perhaps it had been changed to a 1?
