Jack Charles FOOR, 64, of Indiana, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at
the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.
Born March 29, 1936, in Broad Top, he was the son of the late Richard Ward and Iva G. Black Foor.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Daugherty Foor, whom he married Feb.14,1959. Also surviving are two daughters and one son: Mrs. Thomas (Janice E.) Foister, of Home; Jacalyn A. Stitt, Indiana; and Joe Charles, at home. There are three grandsons.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Walter (Sue) Dudich, Hartville, Ohio;
and a brother, Richard W. Foor, of Kent, Ohio along with several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Foor was of the Methodist faith. He was a member of the VFW Post No.
1989; American Legion Post No. 141; BPOE Lodge No. 931; the YMCA; AARP;
and was a volunteer for Special Olympics.
A peacetime veteran, he served, in the U.S. Army.
A 30-year employee of Penelec, he worked in the maintenance
department, retiring in 1992.
Friends will be received from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a memorial service will be
conducted by the BPOE Lodge No. 931 Saturday, April 29, at 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Orr officiating. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elks Legacy Trust Fund, BPOE Lodge
No. 931, 475 South 13th St., Indiana, Pa. 15701.
NOTE: There is a "Jack Foor" listed in the SSDI who was born same date, 29 Mar 1936, but died a few days BEFORE the "Jack Charles Foor" listed here is said to have died in his obituary. Twila Sue Friend, age 66, of Pickerington, peacefully succumbed Tuesday evening April 22, 2008 at Pickering House to sarcoma she had battled for more than 5 years. Twila graduated from Canal Winchester High School and became a beautician, working for many years at the Lazarus Beauty Salon, after which she owned and operated Winchester Hair Designs. She later worked at Fiesta in Circleville.
Twila was preceded in death by her parents, Clara & Floyd Friend.
She will be sorely missed by her sister, Joanne (James) Huffman, Pickerington; nephew Maj. Wylie (Lydia) Huffman, Ft. Polk, LA; niece, Margaretanne (Andrew) Sabata, Lancaster; and beloved grandniece and nephew, Victoria & Jimmy Huffman.
Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday. Entombment will follow at Lithopolis Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, it would be deeply appreciated if donations in the name of Twila be made to FairHoPe Hospice, 1111 E. Main St., Lancaster OH 43130.

Frederick Shower a missionary of this society came to the county in 1816. He labored with more or less success, but it was not until 1830 that the first church was built. [28316] "Elizabeth Powell died March 6, 1841; and April 15, 1842, Philip Powell was married to Susannah Tussing, daughter of Christopher Tussing. She was born in Fairfield County, Ohio, April 20, 1818, and came to Hancock County, Ohio, where she was married. She had one child, Moses Powell, who was born February 19th, 1854, and died March March, 1854. Susannah Powell died September 25, 1857, after a lingering illness. In 1861 Mr. Powell was married to his third wife, Magdalene Feasle; and on August 29th, 1866, he died, aged 57 years, 1 month and 28 days. He and his wife were faithful members of the Evangelical Association. He now lies beside his two sainted wives in the Powell Cemetery, Eagle Twp., Hancock County, Ohio.
