Mother's obituary... Mary Benadum, age 88, of Lancaster, formerly of Columbus, died November 19, 2013 at the Pickering House. She retired from Crown Auto Top as a secretary after several years. She is survived by her daughters, Michele Lodoen and Marlane (Scott) Foor; son, Michael (Lynda) Benadum; grandchildren, Melissa (Josh) Glenn, Monica(Kan) Pantanapichet, Michael Benadum, Alexander Foor, and Kristen Foor; one great-grandchild, Izabella Benadum; niece, Judy (Dave) Hoover; sister-in-law, Betty Benadum; and dear friend, Mylon Lodoen. Augusta married Charles P. Drullinyer; Frank M. is unmarried, and a resident of St. Joseph; Mary R. died when an interesting young girl of thirteen
years; John Otis died when eighteen months old, and Levi L. when an infant of a month, also Charles W; Cora S. lived to be only nine years of
age.
After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Birdzell remained on the farm two years, and then took possession of the farm belonging to Mrs. B. in St. Joseph Township. Mr. Birdzell afterward desiring to change his occupation, moved with his family into the town of St. Joseph, in the fall of 1882, and engaged first in the drug trade which he afterward abandoned to become a partner of John W. Somers in the grain business. In 1884 he sold out, and wishing to recuperate his health, visited Hot Springs, Ark., where he remained two months with excellent results. She was born April 9, 1909 in Rochester to John W. and Martha RICHARDSON FOOR. She had lived in Plymouth since 1955. She was married March 31, 1937 in Rochester to Orlo M. BROWN; he survives.
Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Martha A. THOMPSON ands Sandra K. GARRISON, both of Plymouth; a son, Leroy E. BROWN, Franklin Park, Ill.; a sister, Linnie DARR, Bremen; a brother, Ralph FOOR, Rochester, and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Johnson Funeral Home, Plymouth. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Marshall County Heart Association.

ADRIAN: Burton Jonas Foor, 83, of Adrian, passed away April 11, 2001, in Mesa, Ariz.
He was born July 4, 1917, in Franklin Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Foor. He was a World War II veteran, serving his country for four years. Burton was a farm machine mechanic most of his life. He was a member of the Durkee-Seager Post #550 American Legion in Onsted and the North Adrian Grange.
Surviving besides his wife, Vivian, whom he married May 4, 1942, is a son, Dayle (Carole) Foor, a daughter, Nancy (Milton) Naugle, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his father-and-mother-in-law, Ray and Lillian Benedict, and his oldest son, Burton H. Foor.
At his request cremation has taken place. Arrangements for a memorial service will be made upon the family's return to Michigan.

LITHOPOLIS: Eileen Cox, age 89, of Lithopolis, died Saturday, January 08, 2011 at her residence. Born April 10, 1921 in Jackson County to the late Robert V. & Nora Mae (Smittle) Lewis, she was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. She was a retired secretary at Bloom Elementary School, and was a member of Bloom Presbyterian Church and Reber Chapter #161 O.E.S.
She is survived by her son, Robert M. Cox, Lithopolis; sister-in-law, Carolyn Lewis, Oak Hill; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, William M. Cox in 2007; brothers, Robert R. & William V. Lewis; and sister, Ruth E. Dickson.
Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Brian Harroff officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Horeb Cemetery in Oak Hill. Friends who wish may contribute to Bloom Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 104, Lithopolis 43136 in Eileen's memory.

He was born February 13, 1919 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Ely Elwood and Verna Grace (Smith) Phillips. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Frances Roberta Phillips in 2007, son Edward Phillips II and brothers Leland and Loften Phillips. He was a U.S. Navy Dentist and veteran of WWII. Dr. Phillips was a practicing Dentist for over 65 years. He served the Canal Winchester area since 1946. He was a former Instructor for the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Anatomy Department for over 8 years. An active member of Grace Bible Church, Canal Winchester. Survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Phillips; sons, Dr. Scott (Stephanie) Phillips and Dr. James (Dr. Diana) Phillips; daughter, Anita (Rev. L.
