For many years he was a brass molder in the employ of Lattimer-Stevens Company, Columbus. In addition, he had a farm at the north end of Lithopolis. He died of a heart attack on 17 Nov 1974 greatly mourned by a host of friends. Stanley Bradley, Jr., son of Stanley and Ilo Bradley, was born in 1949. He attended college on year before going into the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. On his return he studied at the Columbus Business University obtaining an Associate Degree in Business Administration." LOCATION: 1967 - listed as a surviving brother, Denver Foor of Bedford RD, in sister Loretta's March 1967 obituary.

NOTE: Before Nov. 2001, I only knew that Denver C. Foor was b abt 1905. After finding the obituary of his supposed wife who died in October of 2001, it mentions that her spouse was "Denver Clair Foor". I'm only assuming, at this time, that Denver Clair Foor and this Denver C. Foor are the same individual until further documentation is found.

Obituary: Rufus Ervin Foor was born in the state of Ohio in 1837, on April 14th. He died at his late home in Delaware August 26, 1918, aged 81y 4m 12d. He was united in marriage to Martha Oyler and had he lived until October 14, they would have celebrated their 61st year of married life. One daughter, Mrs. Alma Brown of Toledo preceded him in death. There remain his wife and eight children: Lando, of the Bellpoint pike; Sherman Clarence of Ross Street; Hugh of Eaton St.; Lillian, with whom he made his home for the past two years on S. Liberty St; and Mrs. Mary Faulhaber, Kate Weiner and Emma Bowers of Toledo. Also one sister, Mrs. Hanna Long of W. William Street and many grand children. He and his family spent part of their life at Lithopolis but moved to Delaware some 39 years ago. He and his wife were members of the Methodist church. Published in the September 13, 1918 issue of a Delaware newspaper. [only 8 ch listed?]

MILITARY: Descendants say Rufus Erwin was in the Civil War. I found an Erwin FOOR who enlisted on March 9th, 1865 at age 28, enlisted in Co. C., 198th Inf Reg of OH, and mustered out at Camp Bradford, Baltimore, on May 8th, 1865. The age at enlistment would make him b abt 1837. Unsure as to whether this info is for "Rufus Erwin Foor", shown here, or Irvin/Ervin Foor who was of the same age and his first cousin.

Death certificate image. Rufus Ervin Foor, 130 South Liberty, Delaware, Delaware Co., Ohio, married, laborer, died Aug. 26, 1918 of cerebral apoplexy at 81y 4m 12d, contributary cause arterial sclerosis. Born April 14, 1837 in OH to George Foor b PA and Hester Cupp b PA. Informant was Lillian Foor of Delaware, OH. Buried Oak Grove Aug 28.

"Mary Glick was a daughter of Philip and Lydia (___) Glick of Amanda Twp., Fairfield County. The Glicks, who were Penssylvania Germans, were very numerous in Fairfield and Pickaway Counties. The Lutheran Church they attended about two and one-half miles south of Lithopolis was even known as the Glick Church. Henry and Mary went to live in Walnut Township, Pickaway County. They had five children, Andrew, James M. (called Monroe), John, Philip and Gideon Bradley. The last named child was a nine-day old infant who died on October 4, 1842. He was buried in the graveyard of the Glick Church. Not too long after the death of the infant Gideon, Henry Bradley and his family migrated to Miami County, Indiana, Butler Township. But Mary died not long survive in this new setting. She died in 1844 and was buried in the Clayton Cemetery. Her tombstone which I saw about 1930, was inscribed 'Mary Bradley wife of H. Bradley died 1844 aged 25 yrs.' According to this, Mary (Glick) Bradley was born about 1819."
