NOTE: Hallsville, Ohio, is in Ross County.
According to John Thomas Betzer , 1541 Fry Lane , Hayward, California 94545-2537 who's info is shown at Kindred Konnections, he has a Peter Bitzer/Betzer, Birth: 10 Jan 1773 at Hunterdon Co, NJ, Christening: 9 Mar 1773 at German Reform Ch, Alexandria, Hunterdon Co, NJ., Death: 25 Nov 1855 at Bloom Twp, Fairfield Co, OH., Burial: 25 Nov 1855 at Betzer cemetary, Fairfield Co, OH -- who married an Elizabeth Barbara REEGRAY. Although dates are not very far off, they still don't 'match' that in which is in the Cemetery book mentioned above. The only children I have record of for this Peter is "Mahala". Jenny Foor, age 48, of Toledo, died suddenly on Sunday, September 28, 2003. She was born on November 12, 1954, to Lewis and Jeanne Cross. Jenny was a 1972 graduate of Start High School. She went on to The University of Toledo, graduating Cum Laude with a BA in Education where she became a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and was voted Outstanding Pledge, and later served as Vice President. After graduation, Jenny served as Reference Chairman for the sorority.
In recent years, Jenny returned to UT to pursue a Masters in Agency Counseling and needed only to finish her thesis to achieve that goal. She was a member of the American Counseling Association.
Jenny will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Scott; parents, Lewis and Jeanne Cross; sisters, Jill Marie (Joey) Stem, Jane Ann (David) Long; adopted sisters, Nancy Jasin, Bridget Bovee, Virginia Reichert, Lynn Ketchmark; nieces and nephews, Jason Foor, Julie Marie Stem, Candy Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Joshua Long and uncle, Joseph Lauber. Her two "girls", Gretal and Gertrude, will also miss her dearly.
In May 2001, Jenny was involved in a serious auto accident that led to the amputation of her left leg this past April. In spite of this, she maintained a cheerful attitude, and many people took comfort from the courage and grace she exhibited. Her example was an inspiration to many. She was also a member of the Clean Air Group.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday (today) from 3-9 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., just west of Corey Road, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. The family suggests any contributions may be made to the Jenny Foor Memorial Fund.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. [Toledo Blade, Toledo, Ohio, Sep 30, 2003]
