INDEX

[T793] NAME: "The Foor Family", George S. Conover, ca 1964, p 3.

Initially I couldn't find this family in 1880. I had already found Benjamin and Rachel in 1900 so I searched for other BOL(L)INGER's in Kalamzoo in 1900 who had parents listed as being born in PA. I found a "Raynus", and Scott, so searched for them in 1880. No luck. So I searched the index in 1880 for a person with the first name of Scott, no last name, who was born abt 1872 and was living in the home of a person named Benjamin, no last name. I found the "Bell" family. Upon viewing the image, I found the family and they are indeed listed with the last name BELL.

CENSUS: 1880 Mansfield, Richland Co., OH, p 326C; 360 Lida Street

", Glenn, son 17y b MI, yard clerk, rail road.
", Gladys, dau 12y b MI
", Hazel, dau 4y b MI
", Benjamin, father 67y widow b OH, parents b PA

IMPORTANT NOTE: This Benjamin BOLLINGER I've been following in the federal census's is shown as being married to a Rachel DAVIS, not Rachel FOOR, in a gedcom submitted to the Church of the Latter Day Saints by Loyd C. Austin of Mulliken, MI; date not specified. Date of marriage is shown as 26 Sep 1865, no location, no parents shown for Rachel. There's limited info on Benjamin -- full dates, but the only location is in the birth column where it shows the date and "of Kalamazoo, MI". Rachel is shown being born abt 1846, died 7 Aug 1905.
