NAME: From grandmother Alicia Foor's obituary.

SHORTHOUSE, GLENDA-
Of Jackson, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at the age of 59. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Merle; two daughters, Theresa (Shorthouse) Cass and Angela (Shorthouse) (Michael) Foor, both of Jackson; two grandchildren, Dannielle and Rachel Cass of Jackson; her mother, Genevieve Shavalier of Adrian; a sister, Linda Stevenson of Elizabeth City, NC; a sister-in-law, Linda Shavalier of Adrian; two uncles; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William; two brothers, William Jr. and Robert; and a son-in-law, Daniel Cass. Glenda loved to cook and sew. Her family and grandchildren were very special to her. A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Demetrius Orthodox Church, 3043 Seymour Road, Jackson,MI with Father Dusan Koprivica officiating. Luncheon to follow. Burial will be at Lenawee Hills Cemetery in Adrian.

NOTE: The obit does not show the last name of her father and brothers who preceded her in death, and it's not known if her surviving mother remarried. Maiden name for Glenda may be Shavalier. Obit says she had a surviving daughter, Angela Foor of Jackson, and this Michael Foor was last known to be in Jackson. He may or may not be the correct individual.
