1910 - Mrs. Foor fined $10. An indictment for the disturbance of a religious
meeting brought Mrs. Sadie Foor before the bar of the court where she entered
a plea of guilty and was fined $10 and costs. The disturbance which caused
Mrs. Foor the embarrassment of an indictment and appearance in court, occured
in the Methodist church at Robinson Creek, where she and Bertha Foor, the
wife of her husband's brother, engaged in fisticuffs over some story that was
purported to have been told by one against the other. The brothers are said
to have separated their wives, but not until the quietness and sanctity of
the Sunday school session which was then in progress was seriously disturbed.
Both women were indicted and it is understood Mrs. Bertha Foor will appear
in court later in the week and make a similar plea to that of her
sister-in-law. [Decatur Daily Review, Decatur, IL, Nov. 29, 1910]
