This individual is not listed under 'births' in the Blackwood Bible published in "Ohio Vital Records #2, 1750s-1880s", Broderbund, CD 177", but a "Hattie May Barratt", d 23 May 1929, is listed under 'deaths'.
Hattie is just 2 years old in 1870, and 12 in 1880, yet by 1900 she has gotten younger. In 1900 she shows she was born in Jan. 1869, which means she'd be less than a year old in 1870. Her cemetery records shows she was born in 1865, making her older than the census records show. My guess is that she was born in 1868.

TOMBSTONE: says "Charles W. FOOR, December 12, 1850, January 20, 1940, early settler came to New Mexico in 1880".
In "Billy the Kid, the Robin Hood of Lincoln County?", by George Shumard, 1969, it states that "Charley FOOR, long-time resident of Fort Sumner, served as a pallbearer at Billy the Kid's funeral. In later years he acted as sort of an unofficial guide for tourists visiting Fort Sumner. He made several attempts to raise money to erect a tombstone on the unmarked grave of the Kid, including proposals that local, state or federal agencies provide the needed funds, all of them refusing. Finally, through his meager earnings as a guide, and voluntary donations from tourists, the stone was erected.", page 46.
"Who put PALS on Billy's Tombstone?
Answer: Charlie Foor at Ft. Sumner at the end of October 1930, along with Paco Anaya, Jesus Silva, and Vicente Otero determined the location of Billy the Kid's grave and those of Tom O'Folliard and Charlie Bowdre, and with donations secured one 1,000 pound stone to mark the three graves. Foor is credited with coming up with the name "PALS" to be placed toward the top of the stone. There had not been a marker on Billy grave since early 1906 when the Pecos River flooded and covered the small cemetery carrying away many markers." From a "Frequently Asked Questions" page online about Billy the Kid, maintained by [no name listed; only email ids]. Website looks as if it's based in Capitan, NM.

1897 - from the New Mexico tourism site, it says the town of Fort Summer is located on the Pecos River and was first known as "Sunnyside", New Mexico, in San Miguel County with a post office from 1878-1882. "After Guadalupe County was formed in 1891 it was again Sunnyside, New Mexico with a post office 1905 to 1910. From the beginning there were two towns, Sunnyside and Fort Sumner. The Sunnyside Review reported April 17, 1909 that the two side-by-side towns had resolved their differences and merged to become one town called Fort Sumner, New Mexico with a post office from 1910 to the present (1997)." Also "In the 1897 business directory the following information is listed for Fort Sumner in Guadalupe County: "Population 150, is 45 miles southeast of Puerto de Luna on the Pecos River, mail twice a week from Las Vegas, weekly from Roswell, school four months, banking at Las Vegas and Roswell, Catholic church services semi-annually, principal resources livestock, elevation 4, 060 feet." NOTE: The three articles on John E. Lane's death all have slightly different info.
John E. Lane of Tower Hill, Ills., was killed by a B & O passenger train near Pana yesterday. Mr. Lane was walking on the railroad track and turned to get out of the way of a Big Four train and did not see the B & O train, which struck him. He was picked up dead. the accident occurred at about 11 yesterday morning. Mr. Lane was a cousin of Congressman Lane and an uncle of Attorney C. M. Lane, of this city. His brother, Noah Lane, formerly a merchant of Sullivan, committed suicide in a Chicago hotel about two years ago. [Decatur Daily Review, Decatur, IL, Nov. 17, 1893]
John E. Lane, a veteran of the late war, aged 60 years, was accidentally killed east of Pana yesterday afternoon by an O. & M. freight train. He was lately proprietor of a hotel at Tower Hill and had been at Pana on business. He was a brother of Noah Lane who committed suicide in Chicago a few months ago. Attorney Lane, of Decatur, is a nephew of the deceased. [Decatur Daily Republican, Decatur, IL, Nov. 17, 1893]
John E. Lane, aged about 56 years, was killed by an O & M train a short distance east of Pana Thursday forenoon. Lane had started to walk down the O & M track from Tower Hill to Pana, a distance of only a few miles. Between those towns the O & M and the Big Four tracks are paralel. About a mile east of Pana, Lane was overtaken by trains on each track. The impression is that he noticed only the Big Four train and did not get off of the track. There are some person who incline to the opinion that the deceased committed suicide. About two years since his brother, Noah Lane, committed suicide in Chicago. [Decatur Weekly Herald-Despatch, Decatur, IL, Nov. 18, 1893]
His wife later died by being hit by a train near her home in 1929.

__ | |--Yury URSHANSKIY | |__
[31265]
URSHANSKIY Yury Urshanskiy, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. The Russian-American community mourns the passing of a prominent family patriarch. Born along with his brother Yakov to their parents Israel and Pasha Urshanskiy in Konotop, Ukraine his life was full and rich with love. Yury fathered two children Igor and Marina with his wife Sophia Entina. Sophia Entina was lost from this earth too early in her life at the age of 57, but Yury was lucky enough to find love a second time and marry Galina Ivanova of Kamchatka, Russia. Yury was also blessed with two grandchildren, Sophia and James through his daughter, Marina and son-in-law, Tom Eller. Being born in the Soviet Union just prior World War II, Yury was introduced to work at a young age. He first worked as an engineer at a local military aircraft manufacturing facility in Konotop and then later followed the opportunity of a better life for his family to work as a commercial Fishing Boat Engineer on the other side of the asian continent in Kamchatka, Russia. Yury immigrated to the United States in 2000 and spent the years since dotting on his grandchildren who he loved greatly, helping anyone close to him in any way possible, or tinkering with any number of items he would rescue from an impending trip to the junkyard. Anyone who has been present at one of the family dinner parties will remember his voice booming out a welcome, the table groaning under the weight of all the amazing food, and an incredible evening of singing, drinking, eating and true friendship. Yury will be remembered by his surviving family; wife, Galina Ivanova; son, Igor; daughter, Marina; grandchildren, Sophia and James, Goddaughter, Natalia Pletnyova; son-in-law, Tom Eller; brother-in-law, Simon Berezanskiy; sisters-in-law, Esfira Urshanskaya and Ludmila Dvodnenko; and innumerable friends around the world. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 19 at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Yosef Zylberberg officiating. Burial will follow at Lithopolis Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the Eastern Palace Restaurant, 6078 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus immediately following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nationwide Children's Hospital PICU. Online guestbook at www.epsteinmemorial.com
[Columbus Dispatch]
NOTE: The obit says "Thursday, September 19th" but Thursday is the 20th. Believe the 20th is correct as it's shown on the funeral home website as such.
