NOTE: No Peter "FELLER(S)" can be found in the area, and the only Peter of
his age in the area is this Peter KELLER. However, it appears to be the
correct family due to the ages and names of the children, and because the
person listed before them is a Joseph KELLER (Joseph Feller, their son), and
then the family listed after them is Samuel FELLER, and after Samuel, Moses
FELLER. Possibly the census taker 'heard' Keller rather than Feller when

NAME/DOB/DOD: "Cemeteries of Bloom Township, Fairfield County, OH", Fairfield Co., Ohio, Chapter OGS, 1996, p 288 "1865-1901".
POB/POD/Parentage/Spouse/children: "History of Fairfield County and Representative Citizens", Charles C. Miller, 1912, p 619-620. Only mentioned in bio as being "S. M. Oyler", son of Lewis. Attended school in Bloom Twp and later engaged in teaming, farming and butchering. Well known, highly respected, and "on numerous occasions had been elected to township office serving as councilman and also as a school director".
Obit; unknown publication; Sherman Monroe Oyler, son of Lewis and Angeline Oyler, was born in Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., OH, April 17, 1865 and died at Columbus, Ohio, November 15, 1907, aged 42y 6m 28d. For 23 years he was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Lithopolis, and served the church for several years in the capacity of a trustee. He has been a member of the village council and school board, and an ardent advocate of temperence. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge of Canal Winchester, and had the first degrees of the Order of Free Masons. April 18, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Hunter, and their union was blessed with two sons and one daughter. They remember the deceased as a kind and affectionate husband and father. Brother Oyler's sickness was of scarcely two weeks' duration, and was severe from the beginning. Though the best medical aid was summoned, death could not be averted. Friday, ere the morning sun had kissed the earth with it's cheerful light, his suffering soul was ushered into its larger day. The sorrow of his loved ones is sweetened by the assurance which he expressed in the future. He was preceded into the spirit world by his mother, one brother and two sisters. His wife, three children, an aged father, three brothers, five sisters, and a large circle of relatives and friends will sadly miss the aid and comfort of his precense. The funeral was held in the M. E. Church in Lithopolis Sunday, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Hartshorn. Burial in Lithopolis Cem. Winchester Lodge #125, Knights of Pythias, and Red Rose Temple #206, Pythian sisters, of Canal Winchester, attended in a body, over a hundred members from the combined orders being present to take part in the sad funeral rites. The funeral was attended by nearly a thousand people, not half of whom could get into the church, and many of whom came from a distance. Relatives in attendance from a distance were A. C. Hunter and family, Samuel Oyler, Mrs. A. J. Myers and Mrs. Nathan Smith of Columbus; Rufus Foor and wife, Orlando Foor and wife, and Sherman Foor of Delaware; W. J. Hunter, Mrs. Cora Ward, Mrs. Elmer Hunter, Charles Hunter and wife, Clarence Crumley and wife, D. F. Smith and wife, Dr. Farley and mother of Lancaster; Mrs. George Hyme and Mary Hyme of Royalton.
