ECKHART, Daniel, 68y farmer b Germany
", Magdalena, 73y b Germany

NOTE: There are two footstones which say "Daniel" and "Magdaline". Most likely Daniel is also buried in same cemetery as wife Magdaline who died in 1854 at 77 according to tombstone. According to the cemetery book, there are two Eckhart/Eckert's buried near those footstones: Magdalina's, and also a Daniel who died Mar. 15, 1860 aged 31y 1m 2d. I'm wondering if this is the same Daniel, and the age is actually 81y rather than 31y. (After finding the below name listed in the mortality schedule, I believe it's this Daniel).

In the 1860 mortality schedule there is a Daniel Eckhart, 80y, married, born unknown, occupation listed as teacher of common schools, who died in March after 3 months duration of lung fever. Original data: Federal Mortality Census Schedules, 1850-1880 (formerly in the custody of the Daughters of the American Revolution), and Related Indexes, 1850-1880. Washington, D.C.

[53] Although this Foor went commonly by the first name of "Frederick", the first baptismal record for one of their children I found (Johannes) lists their names as "Georg Fried. and Elis. Fuhr". Therefore, his full name was most likely George Friedrich Foor -- not to be confused with his brother, George Foor.

In the Allen Twp. section it lists "Frederick Foor" under "settlers of 1840", HISTORY OF MIAMI COUNTY 1896 by Stephens. (Must be a different Frederick Foor, as he was still in Bloom Twp. at that time).

1827 - "Daniel Ebert & wife" are listed as the sponsors for the baptism of their son, "Jeremiah" [Isaiah], on August 26, 1827. See notes on Isaiah for source.

CENSUS: 1830 Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co OH p 163, 3 males under 5, one between
20-30, 1 female between 20-30.
3 males under 5 - Isaiah, David, Stephen

two males 10-15, David, Isaiah
one male 30-40, Friedrich
one female 5-10, Margretha?

LOCATION: 1840 - Frederick Foor is listed amoung many individuals who came to Allen Twp., Miami Co., IN in 1840. We show him in 1840 in Bloom twp., though he may have left after that for Indiana, we show he was in Hancock county in 1850. 1860 is the first census in which he's shown in Allen Twp.
