For Verne, the column to input daughter or son there was both words in there. I can't tell which one is the right one. The sex is shown as male. The year of birth definitely starts with 187 but the last number looks like a 3 or 8, and doesn't work out to being 18 years old as is shown. Also, Jasper seemed to gain some years and has the more likely birthdate of his brother Aaron rather than himself. (See 1880 census when he was 4)

OBIT: Rochester Sentinel, May 24, 1912, Friday. Rochester, IN.
Oliver Alspach, one of the county's pioneer citizens, passed away Thursday afternoon shortly before 5 o'clock, after an illness extending over a priod of many months. Death was due to gangrene and complications due to old age.
Oliver Alspach was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, in Sept 1834, and at an early age came to Fulton county settling on the farm south of the county farm, where he lived practically all his life. He was united in marriage with Miss Minerva Pence in 1854, and it was on the old home place that the couple raised the family born to them, Mrs. Alspach having died 15 years ago. He was remarried several years ago and the wife remains with the children of the first marriage to mourn their loss. The children are Mrs. George Cloud, Mrs. Charles Richardson and Mrs. James Clemans, Macy; Mrs. Scott Whitmer, Kokomo; Charles Alspach and Mrs. Arthur Brubaker, this city, and Jay Alspach, Peru. Eight years ago Mr. Alspach removed from the home place to a farm near Birmingham, but after living there for a year he sold the place and moved to Mt. Zion where he has since resided.
The funeral will be held at the Mt. Zion church Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. S. C. Norris of Culver to have charge of the services. Burial will be made at Mt. Zion.

I thought perhaps Hulda might be related to Sarah since she lived with this family for many years.
