According to the following biography, Joshua was born before 1813.
" FELLERS, JOSHUA, farmer, Bloom township, was born in Pennsyl-
vania, and came with his father, John Fellers, to Ohio in 1813, settling
on the farm where he now lives. He has been, the same as his father,
an official member of long standing and a warm supporter of the
Betzer Church, which he helped to establish. There were but three
children of this family. His brother, Frederick Fellers, was never married,
but made his home with him until he died some years since. His sister
married Mr. Conrad Crumley, the late well-known citizen of the county.
Mr. Fellers married Barbara Runkles, daughter of John Runkles,
one of the early settlers of the county. They raised a large family,
all of whom have grown up and become useful citizens of the county
and State." HISTORY OF FAIRFIELD AND PERRY COUNTIES, OHIO, THEIR PAST AND PRESENT COMPILED BY A. A. GRAHAM, W. H. BEERS & CO. 1883, p 302.

"Upon first coming to this state our subject [Abraham Ordel] spent two years in Edwards and Tazewell Counties, then, returning to Ohio, was married in Fairfield County to Miss Mary J. Hoshor, who was born there Feb. 8, 1833. Her parents were Geroge and Mary (Litzenberger) Hoshor, natives of Pennsylvania, but of Germany ancestry. They removed to Ohio before their marriage, their wedding also taking place in Fairfield county. The father was born in 1800, followed farming all his life, and departed hence in 1882. The mother is yet living in Ohio. Mrs. O. was reared in her Native county and remained with her parents until her marriage. Of her union with our subject there were born nine children, two of whom, M. Catherine and Edward, are deceased. Those living are Ida B., and George, married, and John, Emma E., William H., Samuel and Franklin at home. After the marriage of our subject he settled with his wife upon a farm in Fairfield County, Ohio, where they remained until their removal to this State. They became residents of Champaign County in 1871, operating on rented land in Philo Township two years before the purchase of their present homestead. Both are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of Raymond Township, of which Mr. O. is Trustee." "Portrait and Biographical Album of Champaign Co., IL", Chapman Bros., Chicago, 1887, p 302.

They moved to Illinois in the fall of 1870 with their family of seven children in a covered wagon. They settled and built a home on a farm

Mrs. Ordel died January 19, 1907, after a long illness. Mr. Ordel died as he drove home from getting the mail in Philo in his horse and buggy

NOTE: The name "Hasthar" looks as if it was crossed out after written, OR,
the single line was placed there FIRST indicating that the surname preceding
it on previous columns would be the same, in this case, "Hartman". Then
where it specifies the relationship of the individual, it looks as if both
"Daughter" and "brother" were once written there -- it's hard to tell which
one was the last. The sex is 'female', but then the occupation is dairy
laborer making me believe it's more likely to be a male.

1898 - Dec 28, 1898, pg 3, col 2; Married: Dr. Samuel V. Luallen and Dr. Mattie Karr were united in marriage at the residence of the bride's parents in Alva on Monday, Dec. 26, 1898. Both of the parties are formerly of Medicine Lodge and always ranked among our most industrious and energetic citizens. The groom is a successful and first-class dentist while the bride is one of Alva's most popular practicing physicians. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Luallen success, prosperity and many happy returns in both a professional and a matrimonial capacity. [Barber County Index, Barber Co., KS]

Lithopolis Woman is Named Defendant in $10,000 Alienation Suit Entered in Local Court Today. Value of her husband's affection were today appraised at $10,000 by Millie Kesler, wife of a Lithopolis restaurant proprietor who has entered suit in the Fairfield Common please court for damages in that sum against Mary E. Clark for alienation of his affections. Recently Mrs. Kesler brought suit in the local court for divorce. Her petition filed today recites that she has lost the society, affection and services of her husbnad Alvy Kesler, because he was enticed away by the defendant and that she has been shamed and dishonored by her husband's alleged conduct. The defendant, Mary Clark, owns certain real estate, the value of which Mrs. Kesler says she is not aware and asks that the defendant be restrained by the court from disposing of the property. Her petition includes the allegation that on January 1, 1928, the alleged partnership in the restaurant business was formed and on or about May 22 the defendant and the plaintiff's husband went to Carey, Ohio, remaining three days. She further charges her husband has neglected and abused her to such an extent that she was forced to institute the divorce proceedings against him. Attorneys G. C. Raver and Jno. H. Cooper represent the plaintiff. LANCASTER DAILY GAZETTE, Lancaster, Ohio, January 4, 1929, p 1.

*Are Lovina SLOUGH and John SLOUGH children of Jacob?
- Cannot find Jacob or Lovina in the 1850 census.
- His child Susannah married a FOOR and may have died in childbirth, possibly with the birth of Mary E. FOOR who is 1 in the 1860 census.. Three FOOR children are living with Jacob and Mary in 1860, and a fourth (Mary FOOR) is listed with the Silas PHELPS family. Silas PHELPS was the husband of Lovina SLOUGH. In their 1860 census a John SLOUGH is also living with them.
- The only known connection of Lovina SLOUGH and John SLOUGH to Jacob is that John and Lovina are together in the 1860 census with what may be one of the orphans (Mary E. FOOR) of their sister, Susannah.
