"A native of Fairfield county, Ohio, he was born March 16, 1860, and is a son of John E. and Lorinda (Williamson) Courtright, also natives of this state. The father was born in Fairfield comity, and was a son of Jacob Courtright, who came from the eastern states in pioneer times and cast in his lot, with the early representatives of farming interests in Fairfield county. There John E. Courtright followed the occupation of farming and passed away in 1896 at the age of fifty-six years. "
In 1885 Dr. Courtright was married to Miss Minnie F. Bunker. a native of New England, and they have one son, Ivan S., born November 5, 1886. Darl E. Foor, 24, of La Puenta, California, a native of Bedford, died Suddenly Wednesday, July 14, 1971, of an apparent heart attack, in his pickup truck in his garage before starting to his job at the U.S. Post Office in La Puenta.
Born October 7, 1946,, he was the son of Ellis and Margaret (Smith) Foor, of Bedford. He was married to the former Cathy Collins, of Valinda, Calif., who survives.
Mr. Foor was employed for approximately one year at the Jimmy Jones Grocery in Bedford. He attended Bedford and Chestnut Ridge High Schools, graduating in 1964 from Los Altoes High School in California. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, and planned to return to Bedford early in August to accept a position here.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one son, Darl E. Foor, II, four brothers and four sisters, Charles, Ellis, and Barbara Lowles, all of La Puenta; Jack, of Hawthorne, Calif.; Miles, of San Diego, Calif.; Delores Sleek, of Ohio; Peggie Hillegass, of Berlin; and Vicki Stigers, of Cairnbrook.
Funeral services with full military rites were held in California July 17, with burial following in the Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif.

He was a lifelong dairy farmer and a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He graduated from Groveport High School in 1941, where he was an officer in both the senior class and the FFA. He is survived by his sons, Leigh (Toni) Miller, and Lowell Miller of Amanda; daughters, Linda (Lynn) Landis of Lancaster, Lizbeth Miller of Cincinnati; daughter-in-law, Joyce Miller of Sanford, NC. He has ten grandchildren; Capt. Stacie Miller, stationed in Bagdad, Iraq, Greg Miller of Sanford, NC, Megan, Melissa, and Michelle Miller of Amanda, Nick (Holly) Landis of Lancaster, Nathaniel, Noah and Natalyn Landis of Lancaster, Ella Richards of Cincinnati; and three great-grandchildren, Sara, Caleb, and Jacob Landis. Also surviving him are brothers, Harold (Nelda) Miller of Carroll, Richard (Barbara) Miller of Circleville; sister, Shirley Swartzlander of Canal Winchester; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Francis Miller and Leona (Maxwell) Miller, his wife and classmate Violet Virginia (McNulty) Miller, and his son Luther Miller. Also preceding him in death were his brothers Charles and Neil Miller and sister Blanche Allen, brother-in-law Jim Swartzlander. Family and friends may visit Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DWAYNE R.
