[1102] NAME/DOB: "The Foor Family", George S. Conover, ca 1964, p 15.

Email with Carala (FOOR) Bender yielded more info on this lineage. 10/98.

On an Everett High School (PA) alumni site, she writes her name as Carla Bender, nee FOOR, graduated 1972. "I am married to Steve Bender, class of 1972 (27 years in May, 2000). We have 3 children, Eric, Chrissa and Aimee. We have 3 grandsons, Jarod, Corey and Drue. In 1989 we moved to Memphis, TN and spent 9 years there, then we were transferred to Alabama which is where we are currently living. We live 25 miles off the beach and I LOVE IT!". Though there's no date of posting, my guess is that it was in the spring of 2000.

"Blessed Events - Mr. and Mrs. Webster Foor of Everett announce the birth of a daughter at the Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning, October 9. The bay weighed 7 lbs and has been named Carola Gay. [Bedford Gazette, Bedford, PA, Oct. 13, 1954]

This information has not been documented by myself, nor are any sources of documentation shown by Bobbi Zee. She shows Margaret Lyons Foor Friar as being born 20 Mar 1826 and dying 9 Aug 1894, but no locations are noted. She does not answer emails or online message when I inquire about this data. She also notes that John Mathes was elected to the Indiana State Senate in 1854 and elected to the Constitutional Convention Ind.

I found a record in "Crawford County, Indiana, Marriages, 1818-1880 that shows Margaret "Foon" married John Mathes 06 Nov 1862, Book C., p 73. Ancestry.com. Indiana Marriage Records Index, 1845-1920.
