NOTE: There is no mention of step children, but obituary shows he had a son (not step-son) named Robert R. Grant, Sr, as well as a deceased son Ted Grant, and some GRANT grandchildren...
[Beaver County Times, Beaver County, PA, May 4, 5, 6, 2004.] CENTER TOWNSHIP - David M. Foore, 56, a lifelong resident of Center Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 3, 2004, in The Medical Center, Beaver.
Born May 20, 1947, in Brookville, Pa., a son of the late David C. and Minolla Porter Foore, he was a retired road foreman for the Center Township Road Department and was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester. An avid fisherman and hunter, he was a member of IBEW Local 385, Grove City, and was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Joyce L. (Cloughley) Foore; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine L. and Paul Zmok, Pulaski Township; a son, Robert R. Grant Sr., Gettysburg, Pa.; four grandsons, Michael J. Zmok and his wife, Rebecca, New Brighton; Robert R. Grant Jr. and Joshua J. Grant, both of Gettysburg, and Jeffrey Pierce, New Brighton; two granddaughters, Bobbi Jo Brelloch and her husband, Dale, New Brighton, and Heather Grant, Gettysburg; five great-grandsons, Tyler, D.J., Dustyn, Landon and Logan; two sisters, Cindy Foore, Warren, Ohio, and Bonnie Foore, Monaca, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ted Grant, in 2001.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. His pastor, the Rev. Gregory Clagg, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
NOTE: Info on this family is sketchy. No one from this branch has visited the website and updated their info. It is my GUESS at this point that some of the children listed were children of his wife, Joyce, from a previous marriage. For instance, in the obituary it mentions he has a surviving daughter, Christine ZMOK, wife of Paul. At ussearch.com the only Christine Zmok that shows up is 50, and her middle initial is "L"; same as that of the obituary. At age 50 in 2004 would make her only 7 years younger than her father. The only Paul Zmok that shows up is 54. The "Joyce Foore" I found was 67 in 2004, making it much more likely that she was the mother of Christine and David Foore was actually the step father and/or adopted father. Joyce's prior husband's name may have been GRANT which would account for the sons mentioned in David's obituary.
