Mr. Allspach came to this county with his parents in 1829, and stopped over night on the Henry George farm. His father's family was the first to located on the west side of what was then a great swamp, but has since become fine farms. After his marriage Aaron had only 25 cents left to begin life with. He has been a successful farmer, and now owns the Henry George farm, the same on which he passed his first night on coming to this county in 1829. 150, grave 4. Years only 1866-1938. Also shown as 1865-1938.

Obviously some of the date-of-births for the children are incorrect in the
books. David Raymond is b Feb 22nd, Mabel Apr 11th, and Maggie Apr. 12th...
all in the same year (1881).

NOTE: Peter's year of birth was probably misread on the tombstone, as being born in 1866 does not agree with any of the census records which show him being born about 1854. In the 1900 census, that particular census taker wrote down not only the month and year, which was required that year, but also the day. If Peter Faler WAS born in 1866, his first child would've been born when he was 12. Death certificate shows he was born May 21, 1855.

[1366] NAME/DOB: "The Foor Family", George S. Conover, p 24, 27 (No spouse listed)

NOTE: This family is very hard to track. This information should be considered undocumented and use as a guide, only. Elizabeth b 1844 supposedly had children out of wedlock, OR, perhaps she married someone with the last name FOOR. In 1850 she's living with her parents and is "Elizabeth", four years old. In 1860 she's living with her parents and is shown as being "Elizabeth" and 16 years old. In 1870 she's still living with parents and is shown as being "Elizabeth" and 28 years old. By 1880 she's living with her widowed mother, and the 3 people living with the mother are all shown as children. I think that the only one that's really a daughter is Elizabeth, who is shown as "Mary E.", age 37. The other two children listed I believe are actually Elizabeth's. Conover's booklet shows that these are the names of her children, too. In 1900 I find a Mary RILEY living as the head of household with a CROOKS family. The female CROOK is listed as her daughter, Harriet. By 1910, Elizabeth b 1844 is listed as "Elizabeth Foor", a widowed mother in law of the CROOKS family.

This text shows the father died in 1882:

"Upon first coming to this state our subject [Abraham Ordel] spent two years in Edwards and Tazewell Counties, then, returning to Ohio, was married in Fairfield County to Miss Mary J. Hoshor, who was born there Feb. 8, 1833. Her parents were George and Mary (Litzenberger) Hoshor, natives of Pennsylvania, but of Germany ancestry. They removed to Ohio before their marriage, their wedding also taking place in Fairfield county. The father was born in 1800, followed farming all his life, and departed hence in 1882. The mother is yet living in Ohio. Mrs. O. was reared in her Native county and remained with her parents until her marriage. Of her union with our subject there were born nine children, two of whom, M. Catherine and Edward, are deceased. Those living are Ida B., and George, married, and John, Emma E., William H., Samuel and Franklin at home. After the marriage of our subject he settled with his wife upon a farm in Fairfield County, Ohio, where they remained until their removal to this State. They became residents of Champaign County in 1871, operating on rented land in Philo Township two years before the purchase of their present homestead. Both are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of Raymond Township, of which Mr. O. is Trustee." "Portrait and Biographical Album of Champaign Co., IL", Chapman Bros., Chicago, 1887, p 302.

DOB/DOD/POD/POBurial: Info submitted to the LDS by Douglas Dutro Woodward, 1977 Yalecrest Ave., Salt Lake City, UT.

I've seen other information that shows this individual was b 1752 in Moore, Northampton, PA. That would make him much older than Elizabeth Teegarden, so I'm assuming the 1770 d.o.b. is, at this time, more accurate.
