NOTE: I believe this is really a daughter of Horton, and not Horton's father, Frank. Another child, Virigina, is shown as a child of Frank, but her death certificate shows she was the d/o Horton. My guess is that both Virginia and Thelma were buried in a plot owned by Frank.

I can't find/view the death certificate image except for one that says Thelma Ruth Bowman, Orange Twp., Delaware Co., Ohio, died Jan. 14, 1922. Written in cursive accross the remainder of the form is: Void, Stillbirth. See File 125-01 S. B. Vol 31. No other information shown.

[17129] NOTE: This individual's age differs greatly between census's, but it's the same individual. He starts out in the 1900 census as 16 and being born Sept. 1883. In 10 years (in the 1910 census) he's only 23 instead of 26. In this case, I would think the first census would be more accurate since he's younger and there would've been a bigger 'seen' difference between a child of 13 and 16. Then in 1918 his draft registration card shows him being born in Sept., but instead of 1883 it's now 1884. In 1920 he's again shown as being born about 1886, and by 1930 he's shown born about 1888 -- a good 5 years younger than his actual age as reported in earlier census records. There is a Homer Dennison in the SSDI that is most likely him. His card was issued in Ohio before 1951 and he died Oct. 1969 with the last known address as Orlando, Orange Co., FL. His date of birth in the SSDI is listed as 15 Sept 1887 -- four years younger than his first stated age in 1900. It would be interesting to see what birthdate was recorded for him in probate records!

DOD: In November 15, 1877 issue of the Lancaster Gazette it mentions the death of Samuel DUM of Amanda Township who died on November 8th, "Genealogical Abstracts from The Lancaster (Ohio) Gazette, V 2, 1874-1884, Fairfield County Gen., Society, March 1998, p 28.

Although this is AFTER Samuel's death, I thought it interesting enough to note it here... a "Emma, daughter of Salem PEARCE of Fairfield County, was granted a divorce from Saumel E. DUM of Amanda by the Common Please Court of Marysville, Ohio. They had been secretly married 4 years ago but did not live together" -- this was in the March 7, 1878 issue of the Lancaster Gazette, "Genealogical Abstracts from The Lancaster (Ohio) Gazette, V 2, 1874-1884, Fairfield County Gen., Society, March 1998, p 32. Perhaps this Samuel E. DUM is a relation?

Since it goes on to say "Eva Ann Foor married John..." I'm guessing she wasn't married when Simon Peter was born.
