NOTE: In the obituary of Mary Laymon, who died July 20, 2004, and was born 03 Sep 1922 in Liberty Twp., Licking Co., Ohio, to the late Dale and Dorothy (Rhodeback) Tharp, it mentions survivors: " four half-sisters; Loretta Wiseman of Mt. Vernon, Dixie Smoots, Eunice Bell and Bonnie Davis, all of Utica. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Owen L. Laymon, two sisters; Marge Rutherford and Cora Cuccio and a stepsister Louise Pahl." [Snyder Funeral Home website] Have searched for any Tharp's that match the dates in 1930 census. Can find their parents in 1920 in Liberty twp., Licking Co., Ohio, but not anywhere in 1930. With so many half sisters, I'm unsure if her maiden name is THARP or not. However, since Cora is shown being born in 1920 and the parents mentioned in Mary's obituary appear in Libert twp. in 1920, my guess is that Cora was their first child.
