For Verne, the column to input daughter or son there was both words in there. I can't tell which one is the right one. The sex is shown as male. The year of birth definitely starts with 187 but the last number looks like a 3 or 8, and doesn't work out to being 18 years old as is shown. Also, Jasper seemed to gain some years and has the more likely birthdate of his brother Aaron rather than himself. (See 1880 census when he was 4)

OBIT: Jasper L. Alspach buried at Carey - Is Brother of Ash Alspach of This City: Jasper LeRoy Alspach, brother of Ash Alspach, of this city, died of typhoid fever and kidney trouble, at his home four miles west of Carey, Sunday afternoon.
